Volunteer: Development InternRose City Rollers seeks a highly motivated assistant to work alongside our Development Manager in strengthening and growing our revenue streams. The position will be part-time or full-time and is unpaid, with a minimum commitment of 10 hours/week. It is a remote position that requires access to a computer and internet. This position spans a range of responsibilities supporting the Development Manager and Committee including managing and cultivating donor relationships, data management, prospecting, grant research/writing/reporting, and general fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will share the core values of Rose City Rollers and be passionate about moving our mission forward. We want this position to be exciting and beneficial! While it will be grant-oriented, it will also include a combination of the following tasks that are best suited to the prospective assistant's skills and interests: Assist in general donor stewardship Help maintain and update donor databases Assist Development Manager in organizing day-to-day systems regarding current and prospective individual and corporate donors Assist Development Manager in drafting fundraising communication pieces Assist Development Manager in event planning and coordination Research projects, prospects, and initiatives for the Development committee Draft profiles of prospective donors for Development Manager and committee Update and development of team fundraisers guide/standards, including researching and sharing best practices for fundraising events Assist Development Manager in cultivating sponsor relationships Grant research, tracking, writing, and reportingThis position is open to all interested volunteers of all experience levels. Funding for things like our Skatemobile free afterschool youth programs, the Rent 'n' Roll Gear Lending Library, our coach training curriculum, and our robust youth and adult scholarship programs all came from or are sustained by development efforts!
