Who We Are
This program keeps derby accessible by providing high quality beginner derby gear (skates, helmets, wrist guards, knee pads, and elbow pads) for any skater that needs them. We also use this gear for special private events.
Rent N Roll was started in 2016 and was funded by a grant from the Nike Community Impact Fund and stocked with gear from Riedell, Radar Wheels, S1 Helmet Co., Triple Eight protective gear, 187 Killer Pads, and SISU Sports Mouthguards. The cage the gear is stored in was built by Griffin Construction. The program is currently funded by grants from The Oregon Community Foundation and the Multnomah Athletic Foundation.
What We Do
Rent 'n' Roll cage attendants are at every practice and game where gear is needed, other volunteers help keep gear in great condition and make sure it stays clean and safe, while yet others help with sizing new skaters at orientations and events.
This 100% volunteer run program is critical to removing a major barrier to accessing derby!
