Responsibilities and Duties
Be the person supporting the Event Manager and help make events spectacular through troubleshooting, fast thinking, and preparation.
Objectives:
- Deal with onsite issues as they arise - hands on training provided
- Understand processes, backups, and feel comfortable recommending changes
- Ensure that legal and insurance rules are being followed at events (support documentation and training provided)
- Some volunteer management working with other event roles
- Update docs as needed
- Take on special tasks and roles outside of onsite roles. Largely administrative and planning.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Availability to attend games
- Detail oriented
- Regular email and cell phone access (including texting)
- Ability to use documents and Facebook (volunteer page)
- Able to remain even-tempered and cool under pressure.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Able to multi-task and prioritize
- Willing to try new things
- Strong communication skills; written and oral
- Experience in Events Coordination and Event Planning preferred but not required - training is available
- Creative problem solver who can work in fast-paced sometimes chaotic environments
