Volunteer for Safety Staff at Hometown Throwdown 2025!
Hometown Throwdown 2025 will showcase some of the world’s best roller derby, and your skills can help keep our skaters safe and in the game. Volunteer Safety Staff play a vital role by responding to medical situations to ensure the well-being of skaters, event staff, and spectators.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Volunteer Safety Staff will:

Provide medical assistance to skaters, event staff, and spectators as needed.

Act as the first responder to injuries on the track
-
Stay vigilant for signs of potential concussions or other injuries.

Assist with administering CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), or other emergency measures in life-threatening situations.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking individuals with certifications and experience in:

Certified First Responders (CFRs), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), or Paramedics.

Physicians specializing in sports medicine, orthopedics, or emergency medicine.

Athletic trainers with current CPR training.
-
Licensed Practical or Registered Nurses with CPR certification and experience in sports medicine, orthopedics, or emergency medicine.

Nurse Practitioners or Physician's Assistants with relevant expertise and CPR certification.
Requirements:

Certifications must be current.

Volunteer Safety Staff should only operate within their level of training and experience.
