Skills covered Purple Basics: Footwork (stepping forward-backward, side-side), skating posture (derby form while skating), one-footed balance (while standing), stride (pushing with both feet), t stops (both feet), plow stops (slowing, 10ft stop), falls (knee taps). This is not a comprehensive list of skills worked on at practice.
Skills covered Red-Level One: Footwork (quick steps, grapevine, shuffle), one-footed glide (full length of straight-way, both sides), plow (complete stop in 5ft), forward crossovers, transitions, basic backward stride, tracking, jumps (one-foot leap, double foot jump, apex jump, weaving. This is not a comprehensive list of skills worked on at practice.
